2015 was the year of ultimate body confidence for me. Im not the lightest I've been, but I'm the happiest and thats whats truly important. Its taken me a while to get to the place that I am, but I'm also a human just like you, so I too, suffer with low self esteem days and days where I wish I was slim. I've been going through a bit of a battle with myself recently and I haven't felt upbeat and happy like I usually do. I haven't wanted to get dressed or put badass outfits together because I felt like I wasn't good enough so 'whats the fucking point'. I kept comparing myself to other people, who have completely different body shapes to me and wishing I could wear what they wear. I was scrolling through Instagram making myself sad, pining for thinner legs so I could wear mini skirts, and dreaming of perkier boobs so I could wear beautiful dresses. I guess all of us go through a stage where we lose focus and we forget how beautiful we are. When I'm extremely busy and my workload is a little ridiculous I often get like this - clouded judgement and jumbled thoughts. But today's a new week and you know what, STYLE HAS NO SIZE.
I purchased this culotte jumpsuit weeks and weeks ago but just haven't had a chance to wear it. Although I'm super busy, a lot of the time what I'm up to isn't that social & if I'm running around London with back to back meetings I find tights and dresses are way comfier. Pairing a stripey top underneath is super on trend and chic and I have so many of them in my wardrobe that they are easy to throw on. The 'culotte' style isn't that flattering on me so I add heels for height & to make me feel more comfortable.

As much as I love social media, it's created an unnecessary sense of pressure amongst females to be of a certain size, look a certain way and etc. It's a massive shame :( I'm glad you're much happier. That's what truly matters :) X

I love this post, there needs to be more bloggers in the blogging community who speak about this and fight back the messages we are being fed by the media.
