Yes, another burger review is coming your way. I recently visited Meat Co in Westfield White City. After beautycon the girls and I were starving so we decided to head to a place we hadn't tried before & the menu for Meat Co sounded yummy..
There was a variety of dishes on the menu such as chicken skewers, ribs & steak but me being me I opted for a burger. I have to say though, this is a burger with a twist because the meat is rib meat. YES - ribs (without the bone) in a brioche bun. I mean, can it get any better than that? The rib meat burger comes with salad, cheese & bacon with chips on the side.
The meat itself was rich, full of flavour and bloody delicious. It was cooked just the right amount and the crispy outside to juicy inside ratio was spot on. I wasn't however a fan of the overload of juices because it made the bun soggy which is literally my worst nightmare. I ended up leaving most of the bread which was annoying as I probably could've just ordered ribs but never mind lol. If you thought Patty & Bun was messy, this burger was on a completely different level.
The chips were okay. They weren't disgusting but they weren't particularly great either. I don't have much to say about those.
I enjoyed my meal but I wouldn't rush back if I got the chance. The menu was INSANE, so much variety and different types of dishes but the prices are a little ridiculous. My meal was about £25 which is just silly for burger & chips isn't it?
The atmosphere was quite chilled, we went at 6pm on a Saturday. The waiter was fantastic, really upbeat, funny & friendly. The service was ok, not rubbish, but again, I wasn't blown away.
Overall Meat Co was a nice place to eat but I prefer GBK & Byron which are also at Westfield. I think the food is too pricey for what you actually get but if I had to eat here again I would. This isn't somewhere I feel like I need to go back & visit though :(
