4 BLACK FRIDAY WEEKEND SHOPPING HACKS YOU NEED TO KNOW

Flatlay Features
IKEA Cream Fluffy Blanket

So Black Friday is steadily approaching and if you're a shopaholic like me, you're already prepping and planning where to shop, what to buy and how you're going to get yourself a badass bargain. But have no fear, Thursday at midnight I shall be publishing all the discount codes for my favourite high street stores. ASOS, John Lewis, Cult Beauty, Missguided, you bloody name it. From fashion, to beauty, to tech, I've GOT YOUUUU!

For now though, I'd like to share with you a few Black Friday Weekend shopping hacks, to really help you to shop savvy and to get the most for your money. Oh and a little cheeky wishlist of some things I'd like to purchase myself. From me to me and all'a that lol.

1. Set Up Online Accounts Before Black Friday
Ever been in an online queue for your favourite musicians, but you faff around putting in your bank details and email address, for the tickets to then all sell out? I HAVE! Don't make that mistake with your favourite retailers this weekend. Wherever you plan on shopping, make sure you set up your online account TODAY! It makes the checkout process a whole lot easier and quicker.

2. Follow Brands (or me lol) On Twitter
If you don't follow me on Twitter (you totes should), because I tweet sales and discount codes everyday and I will be doing so on Black Friday Weekend too. A lot of brands have a large social media following, just look at Missguided & ASOS. They often tweet out discount codes and deals they have, so its really worth checking their feeds. If you're really into Black Friday, I would also turn on notifications for brands (or me) so you will be alerted to discount/sale tweets!

3. Think About What You Really Want
Panic buying is harmful on your back account and your wardrobe lol. I have clothes still with their tags on because they're just bloody hideous but I bought them because they were in the sale. Don't be a fool this weekend. Try not to waste your money on stuff just because its cheap, buy stuff that you really really realllllyyyy want. ASOS saved items is the best for this. I add everything I want in there so when the sales start, I can see whats been discounted. Ive already made a list of what I plan on buying which I'll share with you at the end of this post lol.

4. Do It All Online
I tend to get really overwhelmed when sale shopping out on the high street so for me, its a no brainer that I'll stick to online shopping. I find it easier and safer (did you see those mobs in ASDA last year) and I just generally enjoy the experience much more. If you're working, its also the only option because nobody has the time or the energy to venture out at 6pm when its dark. If you do it online, you can also get in early and see what the deals are.

5. Be Ready At Midnight
As a blogger, a lot of us get the heads up a day before the sales start on what the codes are and what brands are doing what. Its definitely a blogger perk that I love. I've been told by a reliable source that this year, a lot of the sales will start midnight Thursday, going into Friday morning. So at 00.00 make sure you've got your laptop to hand, a hot chocolate and your favourite candle burning, because its going to be a long, but fun night!

I hope those hacks helped you. Good luck and happy sale shopping!

30 AMAZING CHRISTMAS GIFT IDEAS FOR UNDER £30

Don't panic but Christmas is literally just over a month away.

Breathe. Don't panic. Don't fucking panic.

Okay - I'm panicking lol, anyone else?

I bought my first Christmas gifts late last night. I realised that most people around me had started their shopping, but I was desperately trying to avoid it this year. I just feel like this year has flown by and even though I can't wait for 2017, I also don't feel ready to get out my Christmas tree & start screaming All I Want For Christmas Is You.

Nonetheless, December 1st is fast approaching and its time to think about the gifts we want to buy our loved ones. I love giving and the high street and online stores are always bloody amazing at this time of year. Discounts, deals & bargains are to be had and although Christmas can be expensive, there are also great gifts to buy that are really affordable.

Stila All Day Liquid Lipstick Set £18
Liquid lipsticks are all the range aren't they? They've definitely been the star lip product this year, cough Kylie Jenner. There are so many on the high street, but this Stila nude set is 100% one of the best, in terms of money. 3 for £18 - yessssss!

Morphe Brushes 35 Colour Neutral Palette £21.75
These palettes are so sort after that they're always sold out online. I'm actually giving one away over on my Twitter page and I've had over 1500 entries. Affordable, good quality and a great gift for any makeup lover.

Pixi Best Of Bright Kit £12.00
Although buying skincare isn't the safest option as you might not know their skin type, I guarantee if they watch Youtube videos, read blogs or enjoy taking care of their skin, then they have probably heard of Pixi and if they haven't, now is their chance. No matter your skin type, a range that boosts your complexion and gives you a sassy little glow, is a must have. This kit is super cute and diddy so perfect for travelling too!

ASOS Christmas Cactus Socks £5.00
Cactus socks. Need I say anymore?

The Little Book Of Meditations £5.99
Meditation is something I do practically everyday. It relaxes me, calms me and also gives me a little positivity in the mornings. I think anything to do with mindfulness is a great gift as the world we live in now is so fast paced. Everyone can identify with stress and this book could really help someone. Its also only £5.99 so great as a stocking filler.

50Fifty Sassy Emoji Mug £5.99
I love this haha! A cute little mug for coffee addicts or typical British tea drinkers. Perfect!

ASOS Mesh Makeup Bag £8.00
I think I'm right in thinking that most 20 something women would love a new makeup bag for Christmas? Mine get so grubby and gross quickly and I'm always on the hunt for a cool one. I don't like girlie makeup bags so this mesh one in my opinion, is fab! Its different, but it does the job. We don't all want pink, glitzy and sickly sweet.

Paddy wax Urban Candle - Bergamont & Mahogany £10.00
Did bloggers create the candle obsession lol? Either way, I don't know anyone who doesn't appreciate a good candle. Bergamont is one of my favourite scents, I find it really calming - I often gravitate towards Lush bath bombs that contain it so I guess that says something. Its also known to help with depression and anxiety.

The Life Changing Magic Of Not Giving A Fuck £12.00
Because we all need to learn how to not give a fuck.

Vila Tassel Scarf £20.00
A fail safe Christmas gift in my opinion and this one is just a beaut.

Skinnydip Anti Social iPhone 6/6s Case £12.00
Stylish with safety lol. I think 99.9% of the population who owns a phone will also have a case on it. There is nothing worse than smashing your iPhone :( this Skinnydip one is just great lol. A great gift for teenagers going through that 'don't talk to me stage'. (I think I'm still in it at 26 though).

New Look Fluffy Dog Slippers £21.99
Because dogs are the best and that is that.

Calvin Klein CK One Perfume £29.00
An oldie but a goodie. Perfume can be SO expensive, even at Christmas time, so going for an old school one is a sure fire way in saving those pennies. CK One brings back so many memories AND, it smells incred too!

ASOS Lace Trim PJ Set £20.00
I usually love receiving comfy cosy pjs for Christmas but my drawers are already filled to the brim with them. However these ASOS ones are cute, a little bit sexy and can still be worn when the weather starts to get a little warmer. The lace trim really adds a luxe feel too!

You Are A Badass: How To Stop Doubting Yourself £10.99
We all need reminding of this and for those who don't like reading that much, the title alone probably makes them want to delve right in.

Holiday Scent In A Can £12.99
Weird & wonderful. A great novelty gift.

Crabtree & Evelyn Festive Fig Botanical Candle £25.00 (currently now on sale for £17.50)
I chose this because the scent sounds amazing and I think its a great candle for the slightly older, more mature women. Basically your Mum or Nan. With ripe fig & black pepper I just know its going to smell divine, all the way through someones house.

Oversized Wine Glass £15.00
Isn't it obvious?

Justin Bieber Purpose Tour Mug £10.00
Again, isn't it obvious?

Topshop Buckle Crossbody Bag £29.00
Topshop bags tend to always be great quality but super expensive. This one however is affordable and also on trend. Leopard print is everywhere this season and I honestly hope it stays because I am all over it!

Topshop Friends PJ Set £29.00
Because she got off the plane! sobs sobs sobs

Kate Spade New York Pouch £25.00
For makeup, for money, for jewellery, for anything. This gorgeous slogan Kate Spade pouch is an affordable luxury for any young professional or student. I love the gold lettering too!

Laura Mercier Little Indulgences £25.00
I really like Laura Mercier bath & body stuff, but its super expensive. The creme brule scent is my favourite, its sickly sweet, but I love it lol. The entire range is luxurious and a great way to add a little pampering into your life.

Topshop Heeled Sandals £29.00
Because with cute colourful or fishnet socks you'd be the most sassiest, stylish baby at that New Years Eve party, that your ex bf is also going to AND his new bitch ass girlfriend LOOOOL! Im joking, but you get the picture. These are a must.

You Know You're A Child From The 1990s When... £5.99
This book makes me feel all warm inside. Its so nostalgic and at this time of year, its the perfect time to reflect. I pretty much love anything 90s. The music, the style, the makeup. Although I wouldn't rock a bright blue eyeshadow and fuchsia pink lip, there is something so wonderful about reminding yourself of how things were back then. (someone better buy me this lol)

This Works Deep Sleep Night Time £22
A product I swear by, so much so that I have 3x back ups because I cannot live without it. It helps you relax, helps you sleep and also helps with minimising anxious and nervous feelings. Its a great gift in general but even more so for people who get nervous whilst travelling. I had a terrible flight back in August to NYC and it really helped me to relax.

Diptyque Christmas Classic Candle £28
Diptique candles are literally SO expensive, but the Christmas ones are slightly more affordable. I guess you could this for your new bfs mum if she's a snob LOOOL? Or your own Mum because she's badass and totally deserves it?

Aromatherapy Associates My Treat £10.00
Essential oils are a must have in my life. I sprinkle a small amount into my bath when I need to de-stress, or simply because I deserve an extra bit of pampering. At £10 you can't really go wrong and its a nice affordable way to tell someone 'hey, I care about you. Cute!

Copper Photo Frame £17.50
Stick a photo of you and the gift receiver, and you have one of the most thoughtful Christmas presses ever. Plus its copper which means its bang on trend and super instagrammable.

Boohoo Mermaid Blanket £18.00
Everyone loves getting cosy on the sofa with a hot chocolate and a festive film. Upgrade that boring blanket and get yourself a mermaid one because why the fuck not?!

Muglar Minatures Fragrance Gift Set £29.00
Alien is literally a basic bitch fragrance that I owned again and again and again lol and I don't even care. Its such an identifiable fragrance because it smells so damn amazing and different to the usual perfumes you get on the high street. I know that everyone and their mother has it but who cares? Its the best! In this set you get the entire range too.

6 HELPFUL WAYS HOW TO CARRY ON WHEN YOU JUST WANT TO GIVE UP

So I'm just gonna put it out there. I've had a difficult year and a pretty shit few months. Ive lost friends, lost love, lost me.. but I've also gained self compassion, wisdom and the ability to believe in unwavering strength.

There have been moments where I've wanted to give up, where I've wanted to give in. Give in to self destruction, give in to the pain and trauma and to admit defeat. There have even been times where I've thought that not being around anymore would be easier. That drowning in the ocean would be better than drowning in the sadness.

I guess you could say I've been at rock bottom. Ive had to learn the hard way that friendships don't last forever and at some point you can't keep running from your past & from your problems, because eventually they'll catch up with you. I've come to realise that taking time out is so important, and putting in boundaries to protect yourself is non negotiable.

Im not entirely ready to go into great detail about whats been happening, but I can't wait for the day that I am.

With all the shit thats been going on though, I haven't given up.

Although I'm vulnerable and in pain right now, I'm okay. Im not broken, I'm not defeated, I'm okay. Im standing firm footed in the ground because I won't and can't give up. So, I wanted to share some self affirmations and little tasks I've found to ensure that doesn't change.

1. There Is Strength In Vulnerability.
There is a misconception that vulnerable people are weak, but in my opinion, they are the strongest. They know real pain and trauma, and yet they still let people in. They continue to live life as honestly as they can, and they tend to not shy away from things or situations that have previously hurt them. They're more authentic, more honest and more understanding of other peoples plights. Let yourself feel, let yourself cry, let yourself be vulnerable.

2. You Cannot Grow When You're Comfortable.
Ever notice that after a bad experience, for example a break up, you seem to come out shining? You eventually feel happier and healthier? You feel wiser and a little more clearer? Thats because you've grown. You don't really learn anything when shit is comfortable, when shit is good. When difficult things happen; your patience is tested, your strength is tested, your faith is tested - I could go on but you get the point right? In those moments you grow the most.

3. Immerse Yourself In Self Care.
For the past week I haven't done much except look after myself. I haven't played sad songs so I feel worse & I haven't put myself through self destructive thoughts. Although its been so much fucking effort - I feel way better for it. I've bathed (even thats a big deal when you wanna give up), lit my favourite candles, cooked delicious balanced meals, but I haven't denied myself chocolate either. I've watched chick flicks, gone on walks, drank lots of water, applied a face mask, watched a new series, made time for friends & so on. I used to deny myself all of those things because I didn't think I was good enough. But I am enough, I'm more than enough and so are you.

4. Take Some Real Time Off.
I don't mean just an evening where you down a bottle of wine and watch The Notebook. I mean a significant amount of time (even if its spread out), where you dedicate time to self care, self love & to find who you are again. In difficult situations we often lose ourselves, and its important to rediscover who we are again. Over the past few years I've forgotten what food I like & what makes me happy, so I'm currently on a little journey myself. The time you dedicate should be filled with love and gratitude and come from a kind place. Its difficult at first, especially if you blame yourself for situations that happen and you're used to negative thoughts, but it does get easier. Maybe start with having the weekends specifically for you, to do things that make you happy.

5. Turn Your Pain Into Passion.
This little saying has got me through the hardest times. I try to turn any negative energy I have into something positive. I'll often write (like I'm doing now) or draw. I'll think of ways I can channel all my pain but in a safe way. I often find myself writing down business ideas, or dancing to Xtina in my kitchen. My passions are creativity and helping people so I direct everything I am towards those two things. My childhood pain is the reason I'm here today - if you need a reason to start, there it is.

6. Remember Nothing Lasts Forever.
When things are as fucking shit as fucking shit can be lol, we tend to wallow in self pity and forget about life before that fucking shit thing happened. Thats why its so important to remind yourself over and over again, that it won't last forever. Even though the pain is raw and you want to hide under your duvet for all eternity, the way you feel at this very moment is temporary. Why give up when in a weeks/month/years time you're going to feel completely different?

7. Stop Blaming Yourself & Feeling Guilty.
This is a really important one. We often feel shame, embarrassment and guilt when things aren't going too great within our lives. We blame ourselves and feel guilty if we feel we played a part in enabling this difficult thing to happen. What could I have done different? Shall I change who I am? Why aren't I good enough? Whether its losing a friend or being laid off - we often internalise how we feel and cope by accepting that this is us - we're the failures. Although its important to hear those thoughts, I don't think its that productive to always listen to them. Understand that nobody's perfect and no matter whats happened, you can't continue to blame yourself. Accept whats happened and move on. It takes time though - remember that.

I understand that a lot of people follow me and read my blog because they can relate to what I've been through and what I've experienced. Ive said it before but I'll say it again, 'girls like me wanna see girls like me win' and I am rooting for all of you. Please don't give up when there is a world of happiness, fun, laughter & opportunities out there for you.

You've got this.. just believe in yourself.

5 WAYS IM BREAKING THE BLOGGING RULES

Flatlay Features

Everywhere you go there are hundreds of blog posts telling you how to be a blogger. I've even done those types of posts myself & they've turned out to be some of my most popular content.

Although I stand by what I say, & there are definitely some blogger rules that we need to stick by. Things like consistency, posting at peak times & creating content thats shareable etc etc etc (if you want to browse my posts about blogging then click here) I do however believe, some rules are made to be broken.

& here are mine.

Posting twice in one day.
I don't know where blogger rules even came from, but I noticed a long time ago, that posting twice in the same day, just wasn't a thing. I guess I didn't do it because I thought one of the posts wouldn't do as well as the other and somehow my followers would either miss one or feel like they were being bombarded with stuff to read. However, after a little re-shift in content over the summer I started to occasionally post twice in the same day. Usually the posts are very different; one being a chatty, the other more fashion focused but either way - it works for me. I post in the AM and in the PM and you guys seem to view both so thanks for that honeyssssss.

Swearing.
Now, a rule thats slightly more controversial and definitely a bit of a risk to take. I decided to start swearing in my posts again and the main reason being because thats genuinely how I talk. I obviously nip it in the bud for sponsored posts, but for general content, you'll notice the occasional fuck lol. Ive decided I'm in a position now where I don't need to work extra extra hard to get my name out there in order to get my bills paid. A few years ago I stopped swearing and became a little more commercial, in order to appear more professional - & it worked (don't hate the player, hate the game). But a part of me always knew I'd eventually go back to being a little more potty mouthed because thats honestly just who I am.

Rarely using google analytics.
This is mainly because I don't actually get what half the bloody things mean. Sessions? Cohort analysis? WTF? LOL! I also don't like to get sucked in by numbers. Although I check my followers and my page views (usually only for my management or brands), I don't want to put pressure on myself because I haven't had 300,000 page views and so on. Although numbers help massively in terms of seeing what posts do well etc, its definitely not the be all and end all for me. I tend to only check it every few months, I instead simply create content I want to create, and that works for me.

Sacking off a schedule.
I think I've mentioned this before, but I'm going to mention it again. I've said goodbye and good riddance to working to a schedule. I used to thing a strategic way of hitting publish was needed in developing a successful blog, but its not. I would post everyday or every other day and I unfortunately lost the quality side of posting, as I was more concerned with the quantity. Now I post when I want and whenever I want and its improved my blog in general, but more importantly my engagement. I get double the views, double the comments (minus the weird fucking spam thats driving the crazy) and double the love. Creative ideas don't come everyday and it was stupid (in my opinion) to churn out posts for the sake of it. After a pretty dire 6 months of having no motivation or inspiration to blog, I have finally reignited that flame, by simply taking the pressure off posting all the time.

Ditching events.
Hear me out. I like events, I do, but most of them aren't for me. Theres a misconception that bloggers need to go to them, to network etc, which I somewhat agree with, but I also agree with creating relationships with brands and bloggers outside of events. I find doing that creates longevity and its just a lot more personal. Events, I find, are just a bit fake and meh. I tend to really pick and choose the ones I go to! If I love the brand and I have a relationship with them, then I'm more likely to go. I know some bloggers go to events for the goodie bags and all that jazz, but if a brand wants to gift you stuff, they will - regardless if you go to their event or not. My schedule is also super busy so I genuinely don't have much time to mooch around events and press days. I think if you're a new blogger its nice to show your face, but for more established ones, its definitely not a must. Remember, blogging is my job though so I have to prioritise my time. If it was my hobby still, I'd probably go to more and really enjoy them. (I hope that comes across ok and not like I'm one big wanker)

So there you have it, 5 ways I'm breaking the 'rules' of blogging. See ya!

HOW TO STYLE FLARED HEM JEANS AND FISHNET SOCKS

Photography by JKG

After scouring what feels like the entire world, for a pair of flared hem jeans that fit my chubby thighs, I finally found a pair on Very. Although Very is a site I never gravitate towards, I was actually pleasantly surprised to find some amazing pieces on there. They have so many items, that fit a variety of sizes. These flared hem jeans in particular start at a size 8 and end at a size 24 - so well done to Very for being a lot more inclusive than other high street stores.

I decided to pair these jeans with my favourite Asos fishnet socks and a pair of bow detail New Look heels. The bottom of this outfit is super busy and statement, so I made sure the top half was a lot more casual and less loud. An oversized hoodie for a sport lux vibe & a camouflage jacket thrown over the top, simply because I can't get enough of it.

WHY YOU NEED TO STOP BEING OFFENDED WHEN SOMEONE CALLS YOU FAT

Photography by JKG

Wearing Scantilly 'Surrender' Bra & Basque

Growing up being called fat was literally the worst fucking thing ever! So much so, I developed depression, an eating disorder and I even started self harming..

& all because of the word FAT.

Society has created a world that deems fat a negative thing & its everywhere you go. Celebrity weight gain sprawled across the cover of magazines, constant comments from friends about how much they 'hate their fat legs' & even brands sharing meme's shaming fat people. The list goes on.

If you're fat, or you're called fat (either way it doesn't make a difference) there are a bunch of negative connotations attached to that word.

You're; lazy, gross, greedy, ugly & disgusting. You have no self control, you don't care about your health and you should be ashamed. How dare you be fat. I hope you're at least trying to lose weight. You're; atrocious, repulsive & careless.

You see, even in 2016, being fat is unacceptable. Its bad, its 'unhealthy.' People don't like looking at fat bodies, at rolls, at stretch marks and cellulite. They literally wince at saggy bits and wobbly bits. We step on the scales and fear seeing a higher number. We hate putting on the pounds, but we love when they drop off. Instagram is full of weight loss accounts and amazing weightloss 'transformation' photos because BOY OH BOY, that person is worth so much more now that they're skinnier. Society gets excited if a top makes them look smaller, but gets sad if a top makes them look bigger. Clothes have to be flattering and if you're fat, you better smooth down those rolls and slim line that waist. Some people even have 'I beat obesity' as a tag line in their social media accounts, because being fat is literally like a disease?!

So my question to you is - why is it okay to be slim, but its not okay to be big? Why do we idolise a flat tummy, but we loathe a fat one? Why do bloggers tweet their disgust when they receive a 'you're so fat' comment? & why do my size 10 friends who aren't fat, use the word fat in a negative way?

Its been proven that being overweight doesn't necessarily mean poor health so why are we still so ashamed of the word fat? And even if it did, people make their own choices with how they live their lives.

I sometimes get the feeling that some people deem being fat, looking fat or feeling fat the worst thing in the world. Worse than being judgemental? Worse than being a gossip? Worse than being arrogant? Worse than being dishonest?

But to change all of this, to change the way society views fat people and the word fat, we simply have to stop being offended by it. We have to take responsibility in how we react to fat bodies and fat comments. We need to challenge our friendships and people around us who use the term 'fat' in a cynical & dismissive way. We have to take a stand against the media and brands who only promote a certain body type, which is usually a slim, white woman. We have to pave the way and lead the next generation to a place where no matter what they look, they know that they're beautiful.

Imagine reacting to the word fat, the way we react to the word slim? Being slim means you're beautiful, you have self control, you love yourself, you take care of yourself, you're healthy - why can't that be applied to the word fat too?

Take away the negative annotations to the word fat and what do you have? A word. A simple word, with absolutely no meaning.

If someone calls you fat with negative annotations attached, challenge them. Ask them whats wrong with being fat? And if you're so offended by the word fat, challenge yourself.

However I do completely understand why society is the way it is, but I also think that in 2016 something need to change. We all, even myself, need to wake the fuck up & be the change we wish to see. And I for sure want fat people to be accepted and to not be shamed for the way they look. I want society to stop using fat as an insult or a dirty word. I would like everyone everywhere to understand that your size doesn't determine whether you are good enough or not. I want fat people to be celebrated and appreciated, just like the 'ideal' beauty is. I want more diversity, I want more body positivity and I truly believe in order for that to happen, you need to stop being offended when someone calls you fat.

WHAT MY LIFE HAS BEEN LIKE LATELY

Where do I bloody begin?

First of all, how the heck is it November already? I genuinely feel like the days are whizzing past in the blink of an eye. Its basically Christmas and I haven't even started my Christmas shopping lol. (I'm laughing but screaming inside)

Anyway. Life has been crazy busy. I feel like I always say this so I'm starting to realise that maybe this isn't a phase anymore and this is just how thing are gonna be? This is my life haha. Although I'm tired, so tired, literally exhausted, I am also very VERY excited.

2016 has been a weird one for me, I'll probably go into more detail in my OH MY FUCK ITS NOW 2017 post that myself and every other blogger does, but its just so necessary. I like looking back and seeing what I've achieved, what I haven't and what I hope to in the next 12 months or so.

But for now, I guess this is a little life update? A quickish catch up on where I'm at right now..

I Need To Get Out More
Getting the work life balance right is hard enough, but when you're a blogger, I think its slightly harder. Work and life often overlap and it can be difficult to differentiate between the two. I made a promise to myself early on in the year that I'd see my friends more and make time for stuff other than work and I think I'm only really implementing that now.

Better late than never ey?

Last weekend I went to Pasta Remoli for a complimentary meal. Free food is definitely one of the best blogger perks. And I have to say, I had such a lovely evening. The atmosphere was super chilled and the decor was industrial, cool and extremely Pinterest worthy. The food was also AMAZING - proper authentic Italian. The bruschetta was literally the best thing I've ever tasted. It was covered in pesto which is my favourite and drizzled in balsamic and crumbled feta. All the love heart eye emojis.

Dreams Can Become Reality
I apologise for being so cryptic because I'm not allowed to talk about my two final projects for the year but I needed to make a quick point. I just wanted to share that if you work hard, focus and believe in yourself, your biggest, wildest, craziest dreams really can come true. I've worked hard all year to do the things I've recently had confirmed and I am honestly SO SO SO excited.

I Miss Sleep
Although I've been away a lot this year, I never really relax until Christmas break. Its the only time that everyone is with family and not bothering with work and I am longing for some proper time off. I tend to reply to emails or be in contact with my manager even when I'm lying on a beach, but over Christmas and New Year, I get to really switch off. For the past two weeks I've been waking up at 4/5am to work on one of my secret projects, so boy oh boy do I miss sleep.

Boundaries Are Important
Im not completely ready to talk about it yet but I'm back in therapy. Although its my 3rd stint, its the stint where I'm learning and discovering the most and at the moment, its important to me to just get healthy again and not discuss whats been happening with the world wide web. Of course I will do in due time but one of the things I'm learning to do is to put in boundaries. I didn't realise before how many people were treating me less than I deserve and using me for their own selfish gain. I've definitely had a few awakenings over the last few months and I hope to one day share my experiences and life lessons with you all.

So thats a little chat about where I'm at and whats being gone. I 100% need to sit down and make a video about everything in more depth - but I just haven't had the time to.

Whats been going on with you guys? Who's excited for Christmas already? I AM haha!

29 SIMPLE WAYS TO PRACTICE SELF LOVE EVERYDAY

Photography by JKG

Although learning to love yourself is a journey you embark on that can usually take a pretty long time, there are in fact lots of simple ways you can practice self love, some of which can be done on a daily basis.

To get your head in the 'self love zone', imagine yourself as your best friend and someone you really care about. What do you tell your friends when they feel down? What do you do for them just to say 'thanks for being you'. How do you uplift them? How do you show them you're worthy?

Now adopt all of that for yourself.

Taking care of number one shows the rest of the world how you deserve to be treated. Speaking kind words to yourself and doing wonderful things just for you, is important for a fulfilled and happy life.

I never really realised the importance of self care and self love until this year so I hope these 29 simple ways can help to change your life, how they have done to mine.

1. Adopt a positive morning routine. Mine is mediation, burning incense, having a yummy breakfast and using my favourite shower gel. Make sure your routine makes you feel calm, relaxed and ready to take on the day.

2. Delete your social media apps so that you don't waste time scrolling and/or comparing your life to others. (I do this every few weeks, just for a few days and it really helps)

3. Go for a massage - you can completely submerge yourself in relaxation whilst reliving your body from stress.

4. Smile.

5. Bake something d e l i c i o u s. Cookies, brownies, cupcakes etc. There is no harm with indulging.

6. Remember to have some alone time. Take yourself out for coffee or have a long hot bubble bath.. or both!

7. Get off your phone an hour or so before you plan on sleeping. Your brain then has enough time to switch off so that you can fall into a sleep much easier.

8. Stop saying 'yes' to everything and everyone.

9. Clean or organise. Go through your wardrobes or sort out your book collection.

10. Light your favourite candle, snuggle under your blanket and watch a good 90s classic film.

11. Cut off toxic people and leave any relationship where you are made to feel like you're not good enough.

12. Go to a gig (live music is the best)

13. Do things you're passionate about - no matter how weird or wonderful.

14. See your friends more. Sometimes, work and other priorities can wait.

15. Express yourself. Dance, draw, paint, make, build. Be a child every once in a while.

16. Write down your qualities and put them next to your bed. Read them every morning (or when you feel like you need to). They can be a little pick me up when you need a reminder of how fucking awesome you are.

17. Make to do lists so that you can brain dump all of your thoughts. Plus, ticking things off is super satisfying.

18. Plan a party or casual get together. I really want to have a 90s kid party with all of my girlfriends. Pass the parcel and pineapple & cheese on a stick, anyone?

19. Compliment someone.

20. Compliment yourself.

21. Visit an animal shelter or the RSPCA and cuddle or walk some puppies.

22. Tell yourself 'I am beautiful. I am worthy. I am enough'.

23. Go food shopping. Buy wholesome delicious foods but also buy your favourite sweet treats too!

24. Give yourself a reason to go out and celebrate. Passed an exam? Dumped your fuck boy bf? Anything.

25. Write a list of all the things you're grateful for.

26. Take breaks throughout your day to get fresh air.

27. If you feel stressed, sit in a quiet room for a few minutes, take in some deep breaths and count to ten. Do this as many times as you need. Your health is your wealth - remember that.

28. Read a good book or watch an uplifting TedTalk.

29. Learn to forgive yourself. Forgive yourself for lacking in self love, forgive yourself for failing your exam, forgive yourself for not being a good enough friend, forgive yourself for forgetting how incredible you are.
