THE HONEST BURGER

After a long day in Central London of events, meetings and interviews, one of which you can read here & here, I had worked up a pretty big appetite. Myself, Laura & Zoe decided to try out Honest Burgers as we just so happened to be a 2 minute walk away. Im not going to lie - I was extremely excited as I am the biggest burger fiend in the world & I can tell you now, I was not disappointed.

I ordered the Honest Cocktail & the Honest Burger! I wasn't a fan of the cocktail - it was a little too cucumbery (another word I've made up) and lacked that fruity taste that I love. I had a few sips and then I ordered a trusty diet coke. The burger however was blooming' gorgeous. Full of crunchy smoked bacon, gooey cheese & juicy beef - it was every burger lovers dreaaaaaam. It was pretty huge so make sure you go when you're hungry otherwise you might not be able to eat it! The chips were your standard chip, but the chipotle sauce that came with it was out.of.this.world. It was spicy and creamy and just delicious to dip your chips in! I would re-vist just for the sauce - no shame around here.

I also tried the onion rings and slaw which were both tasty. I really enjoyed the onion rings which were MASSIVE (you really do need an appetite to eat here) and they were also super crispy too - just how I like them. The slaw was ok.. I have a particularly high standard when it comes to slaw and for me this serving was mediocre. Im yet to try coleslaw better than Tesco Finest's hahaha.

The atmosphere was very hustle bustle busy so I wouldn't recommend coming here at dinner time if you want a relaxing quiet meal. It was fine with me though - I just wanted to chow down.

I really enjoyed the food at Honest Burgers and will definately be returning soon. The service wasn't particularly great but I'm putting that down to being busy and jam packed. Next time I think I will try the chicken burger! I love me some chicken.
