I'll be the first to admit I'm a bit of a foundation snob. I rarely buy foundations on the high street and I'm pretty stuck in my ways with the likes of Nars, Laura Mercier & so on. I've dabbled in Bourjois foundations like most people but I'm never blown away like I am with the pricey foundations.. That is until Maybelline came out with their new Dream Flawless Nude Foundation, and thats exactly what it is. Dreamy, flawless and nude. Get your purses ready ladies - you'll most certainly need this.
Now this has got a lot of love and a lot of hype recently, especially in the Youtube world. There have been reviews and sponsored videos going up left, right & centre and to be honestly, rightly so. Its absolutely incredible.
Maybelline claim that this foundation is/does:
Ultra-fine, lightweight formualation
Blends instantly
Impecable yet undetectable coverage
Buildable, yet feels natural
No cake like finish
Fuss free application
Ok, Maybelline - thanks for telling the truth. You've ticked all of those boxes.
Dream Flawless Nude Foundation does exactly what it promises. Its light weight but covers EVERYTHING & I love the smooth and soft texture it leaves behind on my skin. Its easy to apply due to the tear drop applicator, the shade is perfect for me (shade 48 sun beige) & the packaging is alright too.
This product actually gives me more confident which is surprising. I like how I can apply it & walk out of the house knowing my face looks great.
One thing I will say though, is that you only get 20ml which makes me wonder how long this will last me? I'll keep you updated on Twitter.
The three words that come to mind when I think of this foundation is affordable, flawless & easy. Retailing at £5.99 and doing what you want it to do, you can't really go wrong.
Have any of you tried this already? If not, will you be going out and purchasing? Maybelline as a brand are really growing on me - I've actually bought some other products to try now too!
I used to love Dream Matte Mousse when I was in school (yes, that terrible foundation that everyone cant stand!!!) and I've been skeptical to try any Maybelline foundations since but this one does look bloody lovely! Your skin looks AMAZING. Might have to add it to the list!

Ahhh youve totally convinced me to buy this! I love the bigger brands for nights out but find it so expensive to buy mac and double wear for my day time foundation too so I think ill pop out on my lunch and buy this!! x

Totally agree with you Gracie! This foundation is such a game changer on my idea of "drugstore" foundations. It does everything it promises and is such a great price! Thanks for the blog post!

ReplyDeleteOooh this foundation looks really nice, I like many others made the mistake of using Dream Matte Mousse when I was going through Year 8 & 9 and cannot say I have used any Maybelline foundations since! I think it looks brill on you though, so I will have to try it. Being a shade of ghost though, I just hope they do one pale enough for me!
ReplyDeleteFab post, thank you!
